Greetings Magic community,
As promised, here is the official summary of the third LotusVale Series! Please excuse the little delay 😊!
But before we start, we as organizers would like to thank everyone once again:
On the one hand to the players who accepted our offer in such large numbers and traveled to Herne.
Likewise to the judges, who conducted the tournaments with confidence and competence.
To the LotusVale team, who managed our stand and the food counter.
To the stream team around Pierre Liebsch (technology), Lars Henrichvark and Pascal Pütter (both commentators), who accompanied the two big qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday and made sure that everyone who wasn’t there was able to take part in the series and share in the excitement.
Of course, a big thank you also goes out to the technicians and staff at the Flottmannhallen, who worked tirelessly in the background and immediately took care of all kinds of problems.
MANY THANKS say Jonny, Hanni and Eugen from the organizing team!
FRIDAY
As in August, we opened our doors on Friday to invite you to the popular Team Trios in Modern and Pioneer. As usual, there was also the CommandZone and an FNM Legacy.
Just over 100 players gathered in the Flottmannhallen on Friday!
There were 12 teams in Modern and 8 in Pioneer to determine the best team. Unfortunately, the Companion App has swallowed the names of the winning Modern team, which is why they cannot be named (but there is a photo of the winner). For Pioneer, it was the “locals” Pascal Pütter, Timo Oberleitner and Lars Henrichvark who won first place.
Congratulations to them!
We will keep Friday for all upcoming LotusVale Series and it will continue to serve as the calm before the storm, giving players the opportunity to test their decks before the big tournaments and to exchange ideas with the community in a relaxed atmosphere, see friends again and of course play Magic.
SATURDAY:
This time 137 players came to our second Destination Qualifier to play for glory, prizes and the Top4 qualification for the upcoming Regional Championship in Bologna.
We were able to start on time shortly after 10:00 am and 8 rounds were scheduled.
After 8 rounds (and some problems with the companion app) the Top8 could be started and after four exciting quarterfinals the following players were able to secure one of the coveted slots for Bologna:
Lennart Langkau
Verena Maccari
Baran Tekin
Michael Kammer
In the side events in the other hall there were a total of 59 participants (20 in Premodern and 39 in Pauper) and there Moritz Krobbach with Black-Green in Premodern and Leon Brocks with Mono White were able to take the crown.
Congratulations from our side!
SUNDAY:
With 105 players, the Destination Qualifier Pioneer was once again a complete success.
After seven rounds and four incredibly exciting quarter-finals, the following players were able to secure one of the coveted slots for Bologna:
Lukas Vredenburg
David Joachim
Stefan Weidner
Julian Schmidt
In the side events in the other hall, there were a total of 108 participants (41 in Archon Commander and 67 in Legacy) and there Stefan Birr in Archon and Maarten van Tol in Legacy were able to take home the tournament victory.
Congratulations from our side!
Finally, a few comments:
Saturday’s and Sunday’s main events were streamed on Twitch and we would like to take this opportunity to highlight what a great job the stream team did. After our first time, we learned and improved things and this time the viewer was able to get an even more vivid picture of the LotusVale Series with all its emotions, thrills and really good matches.
For the upcoming Series #4 in August, we plan to continue the stream and stream the main events on both days again.
Of course you can watch the stream of the January Series on Youtube as VOD, you can find our account on Youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/@LotusValeBochum

As far as registrations for future series are concerned, we have continued to have good experiences with the ticketing system from ticket.io.
Of course, it will again be possible to purchase tickets for the upcoming series not only online, but also in our store and at the events where we will have a stand. We want to simplify access for all players. We will also be offering combined ticket options to simplify the purchase process.
Last but not least, we would like to provide you with impressions and emotions of the series in the form of 25 photos, which you can view on our social media channels and homepage.
Of course, we also welcome your feedback: please send us your opinions and wishes (kontakt@lotusvale-bochum.de)
If you would like to support us at the next series, be it as a judge, help on site or in any other way, you can also send us a message.
Finally, a little note: We are planning to open ticket sales for the August Series 25 at the end of March / beginning of April. Shortly before that we will publish a summary of what you can expect.
Save the date 22.08.25 – 24.08.25 !!!
Thanks again and let’s make the next Series even bigger together!
Until the next Series or a visit to LotusVale,
