Enjoy!

  1. Please introduce yourself briefly.
Hello, my name is Patrick Pouwels, 33 years old and I live in Arnhem (the Netherlands). Most people recognize me because of my heigth (2 meters to be exact).
  2. How do you feel about the Legacy format at the moment?
I feel like Legacy is in a really healthy spot right now. You see a lot of different type of decks being played which is awesome.
  3. How do you think Lorwyn Eclipsed will affect Legacy?
To be honest, I have no clue.
  4. What is your prediction for the top decks/top cards/players to watch out for in the LotusVale Series V?
Hmm, that is a hard one. I expect some tempo decks to be there like u/w tempo, Cutter or Dimir. I also feel like tempo Doomsday is really strong at the moment and I hope my own deck is on the same level: Mono Blue Affinity. I played two tournaments and went top 8 in both of them (both were the bottrop series).
Players to watch: The really tall guy (Michael Kammer) is a really good player who puts up al lot of top8 results. And of course my friend Pingu.
For top cards I think that Chalice of the Void is really underrated at the moment.
  5. What has been your experience with the LotusVale Series so far?
We love it! Everything is really good: Venue is nice, good food for a fair price and obviously your beers are awesome. We like the German community a lot. Last time you got some artists aswell wich was great. One little downside is the front door that stays open in the winter, it can get really cold then. And I am just going to say it: The coffee in the front bar (not the kneipe) sucks. But it is just a small inconvenience for such an awesome event.
  6. Would you like to add anything else?
Keep doing what guys are doing, I love it!

Wir bedanken uns bei Patrick für das Interview und wünschen alles Gute und ganz viel Erfolg bei den kommenden Turnieren!

Morgen kommt das letzte Modern Interview.
